Welcome! Thanks for visiting.
I am a United Methodist pastor, serving in local churches (most recently, Valencia United Methodist Church) and at the Conference (larger denominational level) level for 30+ years. I love the local church and am passionate about developing leaders for the church.
Ministry matters. The local church matters. Leaders who preach, lead, revitalize and build local congregations matter. In the midst of so many challenges, it can be easy to forget how important the local church is and how essential those who give leadership to the church are.
Twenty years ago, I started working with a ministry coach, which made all the difference. My self-care, boundaries, and ministry grew stronger. I found that even in challenging times, I could find balance and peace.
That led me to become a coach specializing in Clergy Wellness. Since 2015, I have worked with others to give them the tools that enabled me to thrive and grow ministry throughout my ministry.
As a coach, I bring my 30 years of ministry experience serving churches of 60 up to 500 members.
I know ministry is amazing and hard and too often lonely and overwhelming. I support clergy as they achieve personal and professional success (however YOU define that) without sacrificing their mental, spiritual or emotional health. I do this through coaching and mindfulness practice. Currently, I coach 40+ clergy and churches.
I have been coaching (life coaching, career coaching, spiritual coaching) since 2015 and have over 500 hours of experience. I am a certified ICF coach and a certified coach through The Life Coach School.
I am a certified Mindfulness Meditation teacher with 40+ years of practice.
I am married with an adult son (and a new daughter-in-law!). I enjoy gardening, reading, and drinking endless cups of tea. I love to walk and row (Hydrow). I have served on the Board of Directors for Messy Church USA and Harbor Interfaith. I am all about Social Media and manage the social media for Valencia UMC, Fullerton UMC and Seal Beach UMC. I am the author of Expanding the Expedition Through Digital Ministry. I am the host of the Clergy Wellness Podcast.
