I keep waiting for it to get easier. Certainly, some of these things should be easier by now, right?
None of what was “hard” was out of the ordinary. For example, I got back to exercising this week. Certainly, it wouldn’t be hard to get back to this? It’s an hour or so, of walking and weights. But it was hard.
So, when I woke up on DAY TWO I thought: that was hard, let’s not do it.
But here is the thing: It doesn’t get any easier when you put it off.
Let that sink in.
Putting if off – whether it is exercise or growing a daring faith – doesn’t make it easier. In fact, I think it might even make it harder.
We are half way through our Daring Faith experience and I know it has been a challenge – many of us have been pushed and it has been hard. But think of it this way, what would open up in your life if you REALLY GOT IT this time?
Don’t put it off – take the challenge and grow. Cause it doesn’t get easier when you put it off and it could even get harder. (And yes, I did go to the gym).
